Dr. Virtue Urunwo Wachikwu-Elechi has a first, second degree and also a PhD. in petroleum Engineering specializing in flow Assurance. The research interest/focus of my PhD work was on natural polyphenolics as local gas hydrate inhibitors. I have had over Five (5) years’ experience in the sourcing and use of local materials for the formulation of gas hydrate inhibitors. I am also a member of Gas Hydrate Research team in University of Port Harcourt. Graduate of Petroleum and Gas Engineering. I have worked as a Research Assistant and now work as a Research /Post-Doctoral Fellow at the Shell ARET Adams Professorial Chair in Petroleum Engineering, Department of Petroleum Engineering, University of Port Harcourt. I Research in the use of local Materials for Hydrate Inhibition as well as other Flow Assurance Issues. This training has helped me garner skills in grant writing as well as attracted TETFUND IBR Grant. patent: 1patent granted and 2 others in the pipeline. I have authored and Co-authored over Fifteen publications both in journals and from national and international conferences. Research interests are Flow Assurance, Hydrate Mitigation, Environmental protection, Green Chemistry and Technology, etc. Mother of 4 wonderful Children (3 Boys and a Girl)
