Lamis Selim was born in Cairo, Egypt in 1971. In 1996 she received her BA degree from Ain Shams University in Egypt. Started working in 1996 as an instructor teaching English Language, environmental awareness and etiquette for 10 years both in schools and AUC junior summer program. While in 2001 she received the Master of Education Management from Wolverhampton University in the UK. After having decided to specialize in management in general and Enterprise Risk Management in particular, she enrolled in the Maastricht School of Management’s (MSM) Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) program; first, she received the MPhil degree in March 2013 then the Doctoral degree in April 2016, the research title ''Evaluating Enterprise Risk Management Implementation in Egypt and Oman''. She works In BAPETCO in the Planning and Follow up department as an Assistant General Manager since 2004.
