START-UP PITCH COMPETITION

The Start-Up Pitch Competition offers early-stage innovators a platform to showcase breakthrough technologies shaping the energy value chain.

Focusing on AI, digitalisation, efficiency, emissions reduction, and safety, the competition highlights solutions driving sustainability and performance. Finalists will present to a panel of industry leaders, investors, and regulators, gaining valuable exposure and access to potential partners.

HOW IT WORKS?

SELECTION COMMITTEE EVALUATION

A panel of investors and energy industry experts carefully evaluate all applications, focusing on the most viable and commercially validated technologies. Those selected advance to the second round, where they must submit a 5-minute video pitch.

SHORTLISTING & MENTORSHIP

Four finalists are selected based on innovation, feasibility, and relevance to the energy sector. Shortlisted startups receive mentorship to refine their pitch.

LIVE PITCH AT THE EGYPT ENERGY SHOW 2027

Finalists deliver a 10-minute pitch followed by a live judges Q&A in front of an audience of investors, energy executives, and media.

AWARDS & INCENTIVES

The winner is announced at the Egypt Energy Show Awards, receiving up to $35,000 worth of incentives to support the growth and development of their business, including an exhibition stand at The Egypt Energy Show2027.

JUDGING CRITERIA

INNOVATION& DISRUPTION

Judges will assess how innovative and forward-thinking the solution is, and whether it has the potential to disrupt conventional practices in the energy sector.

MARKET FIT & IMPACT

Solutions will be evaluated on how well they address specific challenges in the energy landscape and the measurable impact they can deliver across efficiency, emissions, or cost.

FEASIBILITY & TECHNICAL READINESS

Start-ups must demonstrate that their technology works in real-world settings, with clear technical validation through MVPs, pilots, or test data.

BUSINESS MODEL & GROWTH POTENTIAL

Judges will look at the startup’s ability to scale, generate revenue, and attract future investment through a viable, sustainable business model.

TEAM COMPOSITION

This will focus on the founding team’s expertise, experience, and their ability to execute and adapt as the business grows.
